Revitalized downtown Los Angeles is now a hub of fantastic restaurants and cafes, stunning rooftop lounges, incredible arts and culture, and exciting nightlife.

The second most diverse area in LA, downtown has the vibrant neighborhoods of Little Tokyo, Chinatown, and Olvera Street, and its thriving government centers and commerce are reflected in the Civic Center, Financial, and Jewelry Districts. In fact, the famous Harry Winston Jewelers got its start in a downtown hotel.

Being Los Angeles, the arts are huge here too. You’ll find hip galleries in the Arts District, contemporary art at The Broad museum, and performing arts at Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. Great shops can be found at Grand Central Market, The Bloc shopping complex, and Fig at 7th Shopping Mall, as well as the area’s small ethnic markets and clothing boutiques.

Big hotels and bank buildings dominate the skyline, the most iconic being the cylindrical US Bank tower and Wilshire Grand Center, the tallest building west of Chicago.
