Eagle Rock

A massive boulder with an indentation shaped like a flying eagle gives this eclectic, family-friendly community its name. Since the early 20th century, artists, filmmakers, and counter-culture writers have gravitated to Eagle Rock for its artistic community, vintage shops, amazing eateries, and relaxed vibe.

You’ll find quiet neighborhoods just blocks away from Colorado and Eagle Rock Boulevard’s hip cafes, family-owned diners, and trendy restaurants. Occidental College is a central landmark in Eagle Rock, and the stretch of the Ventura Freeway that goes through town was even renamed the “President Barack H. Obama Highway” after the school’s most famous alum.

There are nine Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments in the area, including Eagle Rock City Hall, and residents enjoy congregating at local cafes, craft breweries, annual festivals, and community events.
