The Culture

The diversity of Glassell Park can be seen in its eclectic markets, restaurants, and bars. From long-standing small neighborhood shops like Odells’ clothing to the huge Super King international grocery store, you can find just about anything you need.

You’ll find locals hanging out at Little Ripper Coffee in the morning and at Permanent Records Roadhouse at night, buying records and sipping craft brews on the patio or in the old school booths while listening to live music.

Pilates devotees can take classes in one of the studios at Live Arts Los Angeles, where a dance or theater troupe can also rent a space to rehearse their upcoming performance.

Thrift stores, comic book stores, and pottery stores line Eagle Rock Boulevard, making for a fun Saturday morning stroll, and Sugarbloom Bakery is a local favorite for morning treats. At the local parks, there are always games going on and families gathered for picnics.
