One of the first subdivisions in Los Angeles has become one of its coolest, as an enclave for artists, musicians, and creatives of all types. Historic architecture, indie shops, and eclectic cafes give Highland Park a hipster vibe just minutes from DTLA. Hilly neighborhoods offer great views, pedestrian-friendly streets are lined with new and established stores and restaurants, and nightlife on Fig and York Avenues is hopping every night of the week.

Commuters can take the Gold Line directly from Highland Park to Union Station, the hub of the area metro, and the Arroyo Seco Parkway (SR 110), the original freeway in LA, connects Highland Park with Pasadena to the north and downtown to the south.
