Much of Playa's inventory is comprised of existing and quaint single family residences, as well as more modern condo complexes and townhomes. With a median home price of just under $1M, many first time buyers and

younger professionals find Playa del Rey very desirable due to its more "entry-level" prices to beachside living. With the surge of the tech influence at the adjacent Silicon Beach, Playa del Rey has become more expensive in recent years. Even so, relative to its more expensive neighbors (Playa Vista, Venice, Santa Monica, and Manhattan Beach), Playa del Rey is an excellent option for any budget.
