The Culture
The warm climate in Pleasanton allows residents to enjoy summer evenings outside, whether dining on a patio or playing an evening round of golf. Saturday mornings can be spent strolling through the Farmers Market, going for a bike ride, and in the middle of summer, enjoying the rides and attractions at the Alameda County Fair.
Pleasanton has a beautifully maintained historic core featuring a variety of architecture, unique shops, art galleries and a performing arts center, delightful cafes, and amazing restaurants. University of the Pacific offers degree programs, and art students can study and create at the Pleasanton campus of the California School of Art and Design. There are churches, mosques, and synagogues in town as well as two Hindu temples in the area, so people of different religions can practice their faith.
