The Culture

The Haggin Museum, located in Victory Park, features 20th-century paintings and local exhibits to help visitors learn about the area’s history. There are picnic areas, a playground, and a beautiful rose garden on the museum grounds to make a day of it.

Downtown on Main Street, you can catch concerts and other live performances at the Historic Bob Hope Theatre, which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The city also has a waterfront arena that hosts concerts, conventions, and sporting events, including Stockton Heat home games!

Kids will adore spending an afternoon at Pixie Woods, a woodland-themed story park with a merry-go-round and a riverboat ride or playing on the learning exhibits at the Children’s Museum of Stockton. Outdoor enthusiasts can hike the trails, explore the nature center, and even fish in the lake at Oak Grove Regional Park, and golfers will enjoy hitting the links at the Stockton Golf & Country Club.

Music lovers can take in an orchestra performance at the Center for the Arts at San Joaquin Delta College, and NASCAR fans can watch races at the Stockton 99 Speedway. There’s something for everyone in Stockton!
