On Saturday mornings, head downtown to the Certified Farmers Market to pick up incredibly fresh produce, delicious treats, and local arts & crafts. Take your dogs to play with friends or practice their skills on the agility course at Barkleyville Dog Park. Swing by Empresso for a matcha latte and veggie hummus bagel or relax over a leisurely brunch at The Kitchen at Stonebriar.

Stroll along the waterfront at the downtown marina, or for some excitement, cheer on the local minor league team, the Stockton Ports, at Banner Island Ballpark.

Grab a steak sandwich downtown at Louie’s Market or pick up some cannoli at Genova Bakery, now in business for over 100 years. Walk the trails, have a picnic by the water, or play disc golf at Oak Grove Regional Park.

Listen to live jazz over pizza and craft beers at Valley Brewing Company, celebrate a birthday at Market Tavern, enjoy fresh seafood overlooking the water at Garlic Brothers, or dine at one of the delicious Korean, Mexican, Thai, Filipino, or Indian restaurants in town.

For a weekend getaway, you can head just over an hour to the east to go camping and wander in nature in the Stanislaus National Forest or explore the extensive cave system of limestone rock formations and underground lakes at Black Chasm and California Caverns. Yosemite and the Bay Area aren’t far away either.

There’s so much adventure to be had in and around Stockton!
