One of the most famous entertainment districts in the world, the Sunset Strip also offers beautiful neighborhoods tucked just behind world-class restaurants, clubs, and craft cocktail bars.

Tucked between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, this area has quick access to the incredible amenities of those areas as well as its own iconic venues including the Chateau Marmont, The Roxy, and SkyBar. While known for its hotspots, the Sunset Strip also has great schools nearby, beautiful shops like Fred Segal, and is close to fantastic hiking trails.

Working from home takes on a whole new vibe when you can bring your laptop to a gorgeous rooftop lounge at Soho House WeHo, Pendry, Harriet’s, or The London Hotel. Commuters will love being so close to Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood, and Santa Monica, and art aficionados will be just minutes from the exhibits at LACMA and the Museum of Dream Space.

The great thing about the Sunset Strip is that you can walk from the quiet of home to phenomenal entertainment venues in a matter of minutes - and not have to worry about parking!

The Community

The Sunset Strip draws entertainers, artists, producers, directors, film and television executives, musicians, comedians, and creatives of all crafts and backgrounds. Many famous comedians got their start here at The Comedy Store, including Chris Rock, Jim Carey, and Arsenio Hall.

If you love music, the Viper Room, Whisky A Go Go, and the Roxy Theatre offer live shows where iconic musicians like Neil Young, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Guns N' Roses, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have performed. In fact, the Ramones played their first concert in California at the Roxy in 1976. Now you can see famous bands and up-and-coming artists take the stage for their fans - or trying for their big break.

If quiet is more your thing, you’ll be in heaven at the Juniper Lounge’s huge, light & airy space that feels like someone’s beautiful living room. Fitness buffs have everything they need right in the neighborhood, from yoga ballet, Hot Pilates, and boxing studios to standbys Equinox and Crunch. You’ll also see your neighbors out jogging, walking their dogs, and out for sunset strolls just to take it all in.

The Culture

Whether you’re an industry workaholic, a young family, or an aspiring writer, there’s something for everyone in and around the Sunset Strip. People who burn the candle at both ends will abound with beautiful places to bring your laptop, amazing cafes, and the proximity to studios and production offices.

Families with young kids will appreciate the great schools like West Hollywood Elementary, Tree Academy High School, and West Hollywood College Prep. Quiet writers - and readers - will adore the iconic Book Soup bookstore, both for the treasures found in the stacks and its events featuring author readings and book signings.

When you’re on a deadline and need some energy, head to a vinyl booth at old school Mel’s Drive-In, where you can crank out that script 24 hours a day. There’s nothing more relaxing than closing out an evening at an upscale hotel bar, though, and you never know who you’ll run into at the Mondrian, Sunset Marquis, or the infamous Chateau Marmont.

Lifestyle

Before you start your workday, head to family-run Dialog Cafe to fuel up with a pistachio milk latte and avocado toast piled high with arugula. Bring your laptop and coffee up to the rooftop lounge at Restoration Hardware WeHo or the Sunset House to get some work done while enjoying the view.

Take a break and walk your dog at Runyon Canyon or hike the Franklin Canyon Hastain Trail to check out spectacular city and ocean views.

On the weekend, have a leisurely brunch of innovative eggs benedicts, colorful lattes, and mimosa flights on The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker’s sunny patio. Do some afternoon shopping at Badgley Mischka and Oliver Peoples, then enjoy poolside cocktails at the glamorous SkyBar on top of the Mondrian Hotel.

Have a delicious Mediterranean dinner at Cavatini or an elegant, rustic, farm-to-table meal at Eveleigh. For a more casual evening, grab a booth, burgers, and beers to watch Monday Night Football at The Naughty Pig, enjoy Neapolitan style pizza at Prince Street, or venture out for Thai street food at Night + Market.

Catch the latest up-and-coming comics at The Comedy Store or pay homage to rock stars and metal icons at Rainbow Bar & Grill. Take in a concert at The Roxy or a big orchestra at the nearby Hollywood Bowl.
